Hi, Welcome to the inaugural issue of the ART FOR LUNCH newsletter. If you've enjoyed an ART FOR LUNCH session at your work or home, you'll know that we provide highly effective hands-on art making workshops for team-building and group interaction. In short, participants engage in very accessible art making techniques (absolutely no previous art experience necessary), and the results include increased group communication, improved problem-solving skills, and enhanced relationships -- as well as great fun for everyone. More details in future posts. Prudy Kohler Founder, ART FOR LUNCH  SUMMER IDEAS!Summer's in full swing and ART FOR LUNCH is adding to the fun. At the office: Several corporate groups have energized teams with Polaroid emulsion or image transfer sessions. Participants brought their own photos (or made them on the spot), made Polaroid prints, manipulated them in water, and then transferred them to paper -- beautiful, unusual results! Outdoors: Another group made individual collages in an outdoor setting -- and added wine and cheese. People chatted, laughed, and created not only lovely works of art (complete with mats furnished by ART FOR LUNCH) but also new friendships. In homes: Memorable birthday gatherings (for all ages) and pre-wedding parties have included ART FOR LUNCH as an activity. Sue, from a recent bachelorette party had this to say: "We made a really cool 'group' collage for Denise (the bride) using photos and colored papers. It was a great way for us to get to know each other while we created a very special memory for her." |
