WHY?
  • Individuals who engage in art-making activities are more creative workers and more imaginative problem solvers.

  • Group activities foster teamwork and communication— ultimately making a more productive organization.
WHAT?
  • Prudy Kohler, professional artist/educator leads an interactive workshop in an innovative art technique.

  • The workshop takes place in your office or home and lasts 60 minutes—usually over the noon hour. Longer sessions available.

  • Each participant leaves with at least one finished artwork.

  • Or, groups (minimum of 5) can work together to create a collaborative project representing a specific theme or concept.

HOW TO USE ART FOR LUNCH

  • Before you tackle that brainstorming session on how to raise sales, warm up people's thinking by making art in the opening hour or over lunch.

  • Avoid the droopy, post-lunch sessions of your conference or meeting by allowing people to get energized at lunch with a creative project.

  • Use Art for Lunch as a low-cost, 60-minute team-building excercise as part of a larger retreat.

  • Teams of 2 or 3 can learn the techniques together, creating a piece of art for each person. People return to their offices with lasting artwork and lasting bonds.

  • Enliven your next dinner party, wedding/baby shower, brunch or club meeting with an activity that is just plain fun.

RESULTS

As participants engage in very accessible art making techniques that require absolutely no previous experience, they:

  • Increase group communication and enhance relationships.

  • Improve problem-solving skills.

  • Recognize and appreciate diverse work styles and approaches.

  • Learn from mistakes and share information.

  • Address dealing with change and risk-taking.
